Reports of my death are greatly exaggerated
Just in case you happen to see or hear on the news that someone at my address was found dead in their apartment this afternoon, it wasn’t me.
Police are still at the apartment directly across the courtyard from mine. The officer who checked with other tenants in the building was the same one who responded when my bike was stolen a year ago January. We remembered each other. He asked if it had been recovered, I told him no.
He asked the usual questions and was unable to supply much information. Single female, age 27, treated as a “suspicious” death since it was unattended. Since he asked only about the past 24 hours, she can’t have been gone long.
