Look quick!
One of the things I like about BikeJournal is that there are several ways to participate in virtual clubs and on virtual teams.
I log my above-freezing rides to the Rochester Bicycling Club team, and Club IceBike gets my below-freezing rides.
Currently I’m second (by only two miles) on RBC. Although the first-place rider is logging all his miles to RBC and I’m logging only above-freezing ones there.
Over on Club IceBike I’m tied for third place with a guy from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The current leader there is from Kazakhstan and number two is from boring old Michigan.
There are several other groups I’ve joined where days are counted rather than miles. I have perfect scores so far on the Car-Free Week Challenge, and the competing Car-Light Clumps. And I’m not the only one on either challenge to have a perfect score.
This year I also joined Commuter Cycling Century, where the goal is 100 commuting days. As of this afternoon, look who’s leading CCC:

I don’t expect to stay there long. I’m scheduled for only four days a week. This month I’ve worked three extra days and I’m also counting the trip to see that client out in horse country last week.
As the weather gets nicer, those with five-day or more work weeks will pass me. For now, I’ll enjoy my early lead.
