Ha! I voted today by bike also (34 degrees). After I handed the lady my ballot, she handed me my red “I voted” sticker, which I kindly asked her to affix square in the middle of my (also hi-viz yellow) back. On the way out I heard some “ha, he put it on his back. Neat…” comments. Old people are easily amused apparently. I wonder if I reminded anyone to vote today when they passed me on the road.

I stopped on my way home form the TNUA ride to vote, and got many comments as well. I ended up dripping on the sign in book – I hope that doesn’t invalidate the whole voting booth for the day. ! could not find find a dry spot to put the sticker on.

Yeah, it was a wet TNUA tonight. Cold too. Despite two pairs of socks and shoecovers, my toes froze. That’s why I left early. That and I was about ready to bonk. Not sure what was up with that.

...Not that I thought I would be the only one to exercise my “rights of futility” on Tuesday. Being a regular bike commuter myself, I hoped to leave a suitably positive impression on the aging league of women widows er voters, by attending to the task on bike. By 1pm I was voter #96 for my district. The baked goods were a delicious bargain and the real reason I vote in every election.
