In the news, redux
A client emailed some work on Monday morning, adding, “Nice article in the paper”. Usually, this means an article about them, and I add a link on their site. Not finding any, I wrote back, “What article?” And that’s how I learned that on Sunday, I was in the local Daily Fishwrapper & Birdcage Liner. This was a huge suprise since they don’t usually carry Peter Svensson’s column. And it wasn’t in the online edition.
Arriving later at the library, I made a beeline for the periodicals room, and there I was, in full color, riding down Goodman St with the Postal Service truck in hot persuit, splashed across the center four of six columns, above the fold, on page three, the Your Money page, of the Business section. And there were two copies in my mailbox, brought in by coworkers.
Apparently, the article was quite a hit at the landlord’s office. And with other clients. Interestingly, another client was featured on page one of the Business section. Mutual admiration and congratulations followed.
Who knows where I’ll pop up next?
