Department of General Mayhem and Comic Relief

We needed a name for my little hidey-hole at Presbytery. I was in the middle of surgery on an old PC we found in the attic on Tuesday when Susan, the Resource Center director, wandered in to find PC stuff all over her table.

“What’s this?” she asked.

“General mayhem.”

She laughed.

“And comic relief,” I added.

Thus was born the Department of General Mayhem and Comic Relief. They’ve promised me a sign for the door next week. Really!

I’m thinking of registering it as a business name. The Secret Labs goes over really well with customers—they really like it and no-one has ever forgotten it. So I’m thinking that in the tradition of General Motors, General Electric and General Dynamics, why not General Mayhem?
