Off the scope
Just a quick check-in. I’m not updating for a bit here because I’m trs busy. I’m delivering one web site on Thursday, have another in the works and picked up two today.
Fortunately, (or unfortunately depending) these are all “make me a design (read: set of templates) and I’ll maintain it myself” sites. Which is the only reason I’m (hoping I’ll be) able to handle this much at once.
This couldn’t have come at a better time. As you may recall, when I moved I forecast a cash crunch in July if no new clients developed. And that was assuming I’d continue on food stamps and Medicaid. I screwed that up, (failed to follow the proper procedure for change of address—oops!) and while I could reapply, I decided I’d see what a little fire under my butt could accomplish.
A single new client got me past that forecast crunch—and did it a month ahead of need. That pushed my cash crunch to September. These jobs should push it out to November.
I’m beginning to think I just could make a living at this.
